About the Role

The purpose is to provide a meaningful professional experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Abbott hires students majoring in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Dietetics, and Biochemistry. Results will include a detailed literature review and peer-reviewed publication.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing literature searches
  • Reviewing and analyzing data
  • Summarizing and writing the findings for scientific publications
  • Communicating findings and progress to the applicable project leader regularly

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a graduate student (MS or PhD) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future need for visa sponsorship
  • Field of study in Food Science, Nutrition, Dietetics, or Biochemistry preferred
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in graduate school
  • Experience with reference management software (EndNote) and health sciences literature databases preferred
  • Attention to detail, effective communicator, and excellent verbal/written English language skills
  • Self-motivated problem-solver who can lead a project from beginning to end
