About the Role

Cache Energy is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Part-Time Public Relations Intern to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in public relations within a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. The intern will support our PR efforts by assisting with media relations, content creation, social media management. This role will be hybrid, with the set hours being approximately 10-20 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in PR.
  • Excellent research and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior internship experience in PR or a related field is a plus, but not required.
  • Passion for sustainable energy or technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting and editing press releases, media alerts, pitches, and other PR materials.
  • Conduct media research to identify relevant journalists, publications, and influencers.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile reports on PR campaign effectiveness.
  • Support social media content creation and scheduling across various platforms.
  • Help organize and execute PR events, virtual webinars, and conferences.
  • Maintain and update media contact databases.
  • Assist with internal communications initiatives as needed.
  • Research industry trends and competitor PR activities.
